Wargaming Musings?

I'm a bit of a butterfly in terms of my attention and sticking to gaming projects long term isn't my strongest point. On the bright side, atleast I flit between the same things. Expect an ecclectic medley of Moderns, Dark Ages, Quar and Early Wild West, almost all in 28mm... (with some 1/48 moderns thrown in... )

Painting Update- (20mm) Partisans, a MUTT, a House & a Pibber...

Right then, here's the latest from the painting desk. A few days off work due to catching the resident lurgi has somewhat added to my productivity. First off, another Faller HO house. The chimney was missing, so I've improvised one. I don't think it looks too bad...

After a slight eBay incident involving a difference in listed scales, I ended up with a couple of unexpected bits. This MUTT was one of them - not sure of the source, but the driver is Platoon 20 (with the helmet detritus cut off), and the gunner is a Brittania Vietnam figure off the PBR (see below). The uniforms are a little anachronistic -  the flak vest is a little too early for the BDUs, but given that M1 tinpots hung around in the corners of the US force, I'm guessing the same will be true of flak jackets...

More Partisans - including a AT-3 Sagger, some more 'Polish' partisans, as well as more 'Western' partisan types (including the radio/runner team I'll be entering into the Guild 'Communications' build once I've finished this post...)

This was the other unexpected arrival - a Brittania Vietnam war PBR. Inspired by the Operation Flashpoint videogame PBRs, I decided to use this one for cold war games too, hence the woodland BDUs and anachronistic flak jackets again. There should be a M60 & a GL mounted just behind the cabin, but there wasn't really space to put the M60 gunner in position without the rear looking very crowded... hence why it was free to be re-purposed for the Mutt...
